Vacancy Details & Summary of Posts

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications (As on 30.09.2026)

1. General Manager & Chief AI Officer

• Basic Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science / IT / Electronics / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication (or equivalent) OR M.Sc. (Statistics/Computer Science) / M.A. (Statistics) / M.Stat / MCA from a recognized University/Institution. (Preferred: MBA/PGDM with specialization in finance and certifications in ML/AI/NLP/Neural Networks).
• Work Experience: Minimum 15+ years in Banking / BFSI / IT sector, out of which at least 3+ years must be in a senior leadership role involving AI, analytics, model oversight, governance, and business transformation (individual contributor experience does not count).

2. DGM (Risk and Operational Analytics)

• Basic Qualification: Same technical background as GM & Chief AI Officer (B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A./M.Stat/MCA).
• Work Experience: Minimum 10+ years in Banking / BFSI / IT sector, including at least 2+ years in a senior leadership role involving risk analytics, operational analytics, AI/ML model oversight, and model governance.

3. DGM (AI Governance and Compliance)

• Basic Qualification: Same technical background (B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A./M.Stat/MCA).
• Work Experience: Minimum 10+ years in Banking / BFSI / IT sector, including at least 2+ years in a senior leadership role involving AI governance, responsible AI, model risk management, regulatory compliance, data privacy, or technology risk.

4. DGM (Data Engineering, Model Application Dev and AI Ops)

• Basic Qualification: Same technical background (B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A./M.Stat/MCA).
• Work Experience: Minimum 10+ years in Banking / BFSI / IT sector, including at least 2+ years in a senior leadership role involving data engineering, AI/ML application development, MLOps/AI Ops, and enterprise integration.

5. AI Solution Architect

• Basic Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, AI, Business Administration, Management, or related discipline.
• Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of overall experience, including at least 3 years in AI/analytics solutioning, digital transformation, technology consulting, or solution architecture in BFSI.

6. Enterprise AI Architect

• Basic Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Science, AI, or equivalent.
• Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of overall technology experience, including at least 3 years in enterprise, platform, data, or AI architecture within large-scale AI/ML environments in BFSI or regulated industries. (Preferred: TOGAF certification).

Remuneration & Tenure

• Tenure: Fixed Term Employment for 3 years, renewable for a further period of up to 2 years at SBI’s discretion (Total duration not exceeding 5 years).
• Annual CTC Upper Range:
  • GM & Chief AI Officer / DGMs (Posts 1–4): Upper range up to ₹160.00 Lakhs to ₹120.00 Lakhs (negotiable based on experience and current emoluments).
  • AI Solution Architect / Enterprise AI Architect (Posts 5–6): Upper range up to ₹90.00 Lakhs.
• Bifurcation: 90% Fixed Pay, 10% Variable Pay (performance-linked), with annual increment band up to 5%–10% from the second year onwards.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting: A shortlisting committee will establish parameters based on qualifications, suitability, and experience to call an adequate number of candidates for interview.
2. Interview: Carries 100 marks. For Posts 1 to 4 (GM & DGMs), the interview includes a mandatory 10-minute presentation by shortlisted candidates on their relevant job profile, projects undertaken, and milestones achieved.
3. CTC Negotiation: Conducted with candidates one-by-one during or after the interview process.
4. Merit List: Prepared in descending order based strictly on scores obtained in the interview.
