Educational qualification:
- Civil Service (Prelims) Examination 2018 :Candidates should have degree of any of Universities or equivalent
- Indian Forest Service Exam :Candidates should have a Bachelor degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering
What is the age limit?
Candidates age should be between 21-32 years as on 01-08-2018 i.e., Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1986 and not later than 01-08-1997. Age Relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Salary:
The basic pay of entry level IAS officers is Rs. 56100. Allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Travel Allowance (TA) will be extra. The salary will increase as experience increases. The basic pay of Cabinet Secretary is fixed at Rs.2,50,000.
Total salary of entry level IAS officers would be Rs 56100 + DA + House Rent Allowance + Transport Allowance.
Selection process:
Candidates are selected based on Preliminary, Main Examination & interview.
