Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences(ARIES) Uttarakhand, An autonomous Institute under Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India has released a recruitment notification for the post of LDC, Driver ‘B’ , Scientist ‘C’ and other vacancies. Eligible and interested candidates can apply in prescribed application format on or before 16.11.2018.

Educational qualification & Experience:

• Scientist ‘C’: B.Sc. in Physics/Astrophysics/ Atmospheric Science or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks and Ph.D degree. One year Post-Doctoral research experience and good research contribution in the areas of Astronomy/ Astrophysics/ Atmospheric Science
• Information Scientist: Master of Library & Information Science from a recognized University with 55% marks . Experience in the field of Library & Information Science, preferably in a Library in a scientific/research organization for 2 years with grade pay of Rs. 4800/- or 3 years with grade pay of Rs. 4600/-
• Personal Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent. Speed in short hand @ 80 w.p.m. in English or Hindi. The typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer.
• Junior Engineering Assistant: 2 year ITI certificate in Electrician/Electronic with minimum 05 years post qualification experience in the same trade.
• Scientific Assistant: 12th standard pass with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and 03 years post qualification experience in scientific institute/laboratory
• LDC: 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from recognized Board.. The typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer.
• Driver ‘B’:  Matriculation from a recognized board. Possession of valid driving licence for motor cars and heavy vehicles.. Knowledge of motor mechanics. (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle). Experience of driving a motor cars and heavy vehicles for atleast 3 years in hilly area.
• Consultant (Finance & Accounts): Graduate in any discipline from recognised University. Preference will be given to SAS qualified. The applicant should be a retired officer of the level of Under Secretary/Senior Accounts Officer etc
• Consultant (Administration): Graduate in any discipline from recognised University. The applicant should be a retired officer of the level of Section Officer/Under Secretary/ Deputy Secretary of the Central Govt etc

What is the age limit?

• Scientist ‘C’ : 35 years
• Information Scientist: 35 years
• Personal Assistant : 30 years
• Junior Engineering Assistant: 2 years
• Scientific Assistant: 27 years
• LDC: 27 years
• Driver ‘B’ : 2 years
• Consultant (Finance & Accounts): 65 years
• Consultant (Administration): 65 years

Pay scale:

• Scientist ‘C’ – Rs. 15,600- 39,100 + GP Rs. 6600/- Level 11 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
• Information Scientist – Rs. 15,600- 39,100 + GP Rs. 5400/- Level 10 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
• Personal Assistant – , Rs. 9,300- 34,800+ GP Rs. 4200/- Level 6 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
• Junior Engineering Assistant – Rs. 5,200-20,200 + GP Rs. 2400/- Level 4 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
• Scientific Assistant – Rs. 5,200-20,200 + GP Rs. 2400/- Level 4 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
• LDC – Rs. 5,200-20,200 + GP Rs. 1900/- Level 2 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
• Driver ‘B’ – Rs. 5,200-20,200 + GP Rs. 1900/- Level 2 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
• Consultant (Finance & Accounts) – Rs. 40,000/- per month
• Consultant (Administration) – Rs. 40,000/- per month

Selection process:

Selection will be made on the basis of

• Scientist, Consultant:Interview
• Personal Assistant, LDC: skill test and written test.
• Scientific Assistant:Written test
• Junior Engineering Assistant, Driver ‘B’: written test and trade test
