STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION STENOGRAPHER GRADE ‘C’ & ‘D’ EXAMINATION 2020: Apply Online Now for 1500+(Expected) Vacancies

The Staff Selection Commission has released recruitment notification for the posts of Stenographer Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (& Group ‘B’, Non Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (Group ‘C’) for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of Government of India. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website on or before 04.11.2020.

About SSC: SSC currently functions as a subordinate office of DOPT and is mainly engaged in conducting competitive exams for recruitment to various posts in the SSC departments, organizations. In the previous years, SSC has conducted various exams as given below

After selecting a candidate as Stenographers, in either Grade C or Grade D, the candidates will be posted in various Central Government offices/ Ministries. The selected SSC Stenographers will be posted in the following offices:

Educational qualification:

Candidates must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University

What is the age limit?

Stenographer Grade C : 18 to 30 years as on 01.08.2020
i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1990 and not later than 01-08-2002 are eligible to apply.

Stenographer Grade D: 18 to 27 years as on 01.08.2020
i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1993 and not later than 01-08-2002 are eligible to apply.

Salary :

The Pay Scale for Stenographer C in 6th CPC was 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of 4200. The corresponding starting pay in 7 CPC Pay Matrix is 35400 plus allowances.

The 6 CPC Pay Scale for Steno D was 5200–20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2400 in Pay Band 1. In the corresponding Pay Matrix of 7 CPC the starting is 25500 with Annual Increment of 3% plus DA as prevailing.

Annual Increment is 3% which in 7 CPC has become subject to performance assessment.

The total emoluments will be approximately 45K and 35K for these two grades respectively.

Selection will be made on the basis of Computer Based MCQ Examination & Skill Test
