Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Experience

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have a pass in X Standard.
• Candidates must hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification in the Indian Navy.

Essential Experience:

• Must be Ex-Indian Navy personnel with a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience in the operation and maintenance, and watchkeeping of marine equipment and systems on Indian Naval Surface Ships / Submarines.
• Note: Experience acquired after the date of passing the stipulated qualification shall only be considered, and the period of post-qualification experience will be reckoned as on 30 October 2026.

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge of propulsion systems fitted on Naval Surface Ships / Submarines, equipment, and familiarity with Indian Navy administrative procedures.
• Experience in Marine Main Engines, Gearboxes, Propulsion systems, Auxiliary machineries (such as Air Conditioning System, Refrigeration Plant, HVAC, Sewage Treatment Plant, Oily Water Separator, Power Generation and Distribution systems), weapon equipment, sensors, and deck machineries.
• Proficiency in computer-based data management and record keeping.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: The upper age limit prescribed for the post shall not exceed 56 years as on 30 October 2026.
• Age Cut-off: Applicants should be born on or after 31 October 1970.

Selection Process
