Eligibility Criteria
Educational & Technical Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in India.
- Candidates must have knowledge of Computer operation with a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) on a computer in the English language.
Age Limit
- Age Range: Candidates must not be below 18 years of age and should not exceed 30 years.
- Age Cut-off Date: Calculated as on 01 September 2026.
- Relaxation: Age relaxation is admissible for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Physically Challenged, Ex-servicemen, and dependents of freedom fighters as per Government of India Rules. There is no upper age limit for Departmental candidates of the Registry of the Supreme Court.
Application Fee
- General / Unreserved Candidates: Rs. 1,500/- plus Bank charges.
- SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / Ex-Servicemen / Physically Challenged: Rs. 750/- plus Bank charges.
- Payment Mode: Online only, through the payment gateway provided by UCO Bank. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Selection Process
The selection scheme consists of four stages:
- Objective Type Test: A 1-hour test containing 100 Multiple Choice Questions (General English, General Aptitude, General Knowledge, Judiciary Provisions in the Constitution, Supreme Court Rules, and Computer Knowledge). Note: There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
- Typing Speed Test: A 10-minute typing test on a computer in English requiring a minimum speed of 35 w.p.m. (Maximum 3% mistakes allowed).
- Written Test (Descriptive): A 2-hour English language test comprising a Comprehension passage, Precis Writing, and Essay Writing.
- Interview: An interview carrying a maximum of 25 marks (minimum qualifying marks: 13).
